Privacy Policy for Halacha Yomi

Young Israel of Lawrence Cedarhurst ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Halacha Yomi mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles.

Information We Do Not Collect

Halacha Yomi does not require account creation or sign in. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifying information. We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking tools. We do not collect device data, location data, or usage tracking. The App contains no advertising and no in app purchases.

AI Search Feature

The App includes an AI powered search assistant that helps you find relevant sections of the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch based on questions you type in. This feature uses OpenAI's API to process your search queries. Your search text is sent to OpenAI solely to generate a response directing you to relevant content within the App. Your queries are not stored or retained by us after the response is generated.

App Content Storage

App text, audio, and reference content are stored and served from Google Drive as part of our backend infrastructure. This storage contains only content we have created for the App, not any information generated by users.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children, as it collects no personal information from any user.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
